Home Grown Furniture Show Features Artists and Wood from Peacham's East Hill

For June and July, the Gilmore Gallery is proud to feature the work of East Hill wood artists Tim McKay and Jeff Scott.

Tim McKay has lived in Peacham since 1977. He produces Shaker inspired furniture made with hardwood sustainably grown, harvested and sawn all on his family's tree farm on Peacham' East Hill.

Jeff Scott learned to build lodgepole style furniture while living in Wyoming and Idaho, and brought his skills and his own take on this unique style back to Peacham several years ago. He also builds with wood grown, harvested and worked on East Hill -- often accented with antlers acquired from wherever he can find them.

Featured in this exhibition, scheduled to run through July, are several pieces form each artist. There are tables, benches, picture frames, and even a bed. Please come take a look, and plan to attend the artists' reception in the Gallery on Sunday, July 7th from 4 to 6PM.
